United Baptist Church invites the public to a Celebration of Old Town First Responders (police, fire and EMS) this Sunday, June 12 at 10:30 a.m. at Old Town Elementary School.
According to Pastor Bruce Stevens, the event has been being put together by him and his congregation for several months.
“I’ve been the chaplain for the police and fire departments for the past ten years, and I’ve always had an interest in their work and supporting them in the community,” said Stevens. “I wanted to recognize them and thank them for their service.”
Stevens said Sunday’s event will keep off with a service of about 45 to 60 minutes, followed by lunch. There also will be a bounce house and games for children.
