LEWISTON — Where to draw the line between political correctness and free speech will be examined at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, June 16, at Lifetree Café, South Lewiston Baptist Church, 1919 Lisbon Road.
The program, “Political Correctness: Where Do You Draw the Line?” includes a filmed interview with former U.S. Navy Chaplain Gordon Klingenschmitt, who made national headlines after disobeying a direct order to stop praying “in Jesus’ name” while in uniform outside a sanctioned divine service.
Participants will have the chance to share their opinions and experiences with political correctness. Admission to the 60-minute event is free. Lifetree Café is a place where people gather for conversation about life and faith in a casual, comfortable setting.
