RANGELEY — Rangeley Friends of the Arts is hosting its annual Home Tour and Taste of Rangeley on Tuesday, Aug. 2.
The tour will run from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. The Taste of Rangeley begins at 3:30 p.m. at the Gingerbread House Restaurant.
This year’s tour features breathtaking views and lovingly designed gardens. Visitors will see the craftsmanship of local builders, as well as the furnishings and tile work from Rangeley and other Maine providers. The homes have been decorated with state-of-the-art kitchens and the work of many local artists and artisans. Local and regional artists can be seen painting “en plein air” at some of these sites.
Musicians Don Mantovani and Elaine Holcomb will perform at the event.
All proceeds for this event go toward the RFA’s art education programs for local youths.
Tickets are on sale now at the RFA Lakeside Theater box office from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and online at www.rangeleyarts.org. Tickets may also be purchased on the day of the tour at any of the home sites.
Home Tour booklets may be obtained online, at the box office or at Rangeley Lakes Builders Supply, Welcome Home and the Gingerbread House Restaurant. Booklets will be available at the home sites.
