BUCKFIELD — Hartford Community Church will serve its Giving Thanks dinner from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, at the Masonic Hall in Buckfield.

The supper is a traditional Thanksgiving meal.

AUBURN — The William J. Rogers Post 153, American Legion, will serve a beef stew harvest supper from 5 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, at 71 South Main St.

Cost: $8 for adults; $4 for children.

AUBURN — The William J. Rogers Post No. 153, American Legion, and Auxiliary Unit No. 153 will serve  a buffet breakfast with crepes from 8 to 10 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 16, at 71 South Main St.

Cost: $8 for adults; $4 for children 10 and younger. 

OTISFIELD — A roast pork community lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 19, at the Otisfield Community Hall on Route 121.

WATERFORD — Waterford Community Suppers for the 2016-2017 season will be held at 6 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month through May at the Wilkins Community House on Plummer Hill Road. 

The first supper will be on Thursday, Oct. 20. Hosts for this supper will be Nancy Engdahl and Jane Kimball.

The potluck suppers are open to anyone in Waterford and neighboring communities. Those attending should bring your favorite dish to share; bread and beverages will be provided.

Following the supper will be Karaoke Idol Night from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Attendees can dress as their idol, and prizes will be awarded.

JAY — VFW Post No. 3335 will serve a public supper at 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21, at 64 Jewell St.

NORWAY — Deering Memorial United Methodist Church, Bolsters Mills United Methodist Church and the Norway Grange will offer free community breakfasts from 8 to 9 a.m. Saturdays at the Norway Grange Hall on Whitman Street.

This event is open to anyone hungry for a warm breakfast or who simply would enjoy a time of fellowship. There is no income eligibility required to enjoy a hot meal.

PARIS — A harvest supper will be held from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, at VFW Post 9787, 58 Main St.

GRAY — A bean supper will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, at First Congregational Church, Route 115.

The church is handicapped-accessible.
