Church offering Thanksgiving boxes
HARRISON — The United Parish Congregational Church of Harrison and North Bridgton will offer free Thanksgiving boxes to people in need who are residents of Harrison or North Bridgton.
The boxes will include a turkey and the fixings for a traditional Thanksgiving dinner.
Those interested in receiving a box must provide their full names, mailing and physical addresses, telephone numbers and how many are in the household. Requests may be submitted by contacting 207-583-4840, info@unitedparishucc.org or visiting the Harrison Town Office and asking to see April.
Requests must be made by Friday, Nov. 4.
Boxes must be picked up between 10 a.m. and noon Saturday, Nov. 19, at the United Parish.
Those able to make donations to the project may send donations to United Parish Deacons Fund, P.O. Box 95, Harrison, ME 04040.
Library seeks vendors for fair
NEW VINEYARD — New Vineyard Public Library is seeking vendors for its annual craft and bake sale to be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, at Smith Hall on Route 27.
The fair will have wreaths and kissing balls, hand-crafted items, homemade pies and breads, and raffles. All proceeds will benefit the library.
Tables are still available to rent.

Dedication at West Paris Library
WEST PARIS — The family of Leslie and Priscilla Pulsifer will dedicate five stained-glass windows to the West Paris Library in honor of their parents’ 80th birthday.
The dedication will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2, at the library, and it will be open to the public.
Leslie and Priscilla have served as Library Trustee, Friend of the Library and community volunteers. The windows were designed by daughter and artist Daphne Pulsifer and are reminiscent of family summers spent vacationing on Maine lakes.
Like their parents, the Pulsifer family hopes that the windows will inspire in others a love of nature, community service and reading that builds the future community.

Daughters holding annual raffle
RUMFORD — St. Timothy’s Circle No. 504, Daughters of Isabella, is holding its Thanksgiving Food Raffle, its annual fundraiser,
The Daughters are selling tickets on their Thanksgiving Food Basket. This year a large cooler is filled with food and handmade items. Tickets are $1 each or six for $5.
Proceeds will go to the Daughter’s for their many charitable activities.
Tickets may be purchased from any of the Daughters, at the church Super Beano from 5 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3, or at the Knights of Columbus breakfast following the 9:30 a.m. Mass on Sunday, Nov. 6.
The winner will be drawn on Saturday, Nov. 19, at the Holy Savior Craft Fair.
