LEWISTON — The Maine Chiropractic Association board of directors has announced Robert Reed of Lewiston as its new executive director.

Reed will be responsible for supporting an organization of more than 200 Maine chiropractors and their staffs in areas such as legislative lobbying, marketing, educational events, financial planning and all administrative functions.

Reed grew up in Auburn and is a graduate of Husson University in Bangor. He lives with his wife in Lewiston where he also serves as Lewiston City Finance Committee chairman and on the advisory board of Looking Ahead Clubhouse of Lewiston.

He’s active in Scouting and other youth activities as a way to give back to the community. He also serves on the MaineCare Provider Advisory and Technical Advisory groups, assisting MaineCare and Department of Health and Human Services staff by offering valuable input on behalf of the health care provider community.
