Auburn Art Club to meet
AUBURN — The Auburn Art Club will meet at 2 p.m. Monday, March 6, at the Park Avenue Methodist Church.
The speaker for this meeting will be member Rachel Robinov, who will show a slide presentation of her recent trip.
Hostesses for this meeting are Donna Manson, Joyce Campbell, Mary Goss, Judy Johnson, Marie Steele and Carol Woodard.
Auxiliary cancels craft fair
MECHANIC FALLS — The American Legion Auxiliary, has canceled the craft fair planned for Saturday, March 18, at 41 Elm St.
Whoopie pie contest seeks bakers
LISBON FALLS — The Lisbon Falls Church of the Nazarene will have the second annual Whoopie Pie Contest from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 18, at 184 Main St.
For a $2 entry fee, guests can sample multiple whoopie pies and vote for their favorites.
The New England treat made originally made with chocolate cake and fluffy white vanilla filling. Today’s pies consist of flavors like maple, lemon, peanut butter, pumpkin, carrot and are only limited to ones imagination.
The church is seeking bakers to enter their whoopie pies into the competition.

Cribbage league lists winners
LEWISTON — The Lewiston Senior Citizens Cribbage League winners on Feb. 23 were; first place, Anita Maheux and Lorraine Labbe; second, Betty Ames and Bob Laplante; third, Gene Brown and Bob Oliver; fourth, Bob Cielenski and Dick Cloutier; and, fifth, George Bussiere and Mickie Farnum
The Seniors play on Thursdays at the Lewiston Memorial Armory.
