MONDAY, March 6

LEWISTON — Lewiston School Committee, first budget meeting and regular meeting, 6 p.m., at the Dingley Building. On agenda: nomination for assistant superintendent and chief academic officer, personnel transfers within Lewiston schools, vote on a motion on LD 95, “An Act to Provide a Method for a Student to be Excused from Testing.” That will be followed by presentation of budget books and review of several programs including English language learning, special education and student and staff support.

AUBURN — City Council, 5:30 p.m. workshop with the School Committee and 7 p.m. meeting at Auburn Hall. Workshop agenda includes presentations from the Audit Committee and Capital Improvement Program. Meeting agenda includes appointing a member to the Auburn Housing Authority and adopting the Complete Streets Ordinance. 

TUESDAY, March 7

LEWISTON — City Council, 6 p.m. workshop and 7 p.m. meeting at City Hall. Workshop agenda includes a presentation of a pedestrian safety report. Meeting agenda includes a public hearing and final passage of a moratorium on lodging houses in the Neighborhood Conservation B District.
