RUMFORD — Carrie Ponte, certified nurse practitioner, has joined the staff at Rumford Hospital’s Urgent Care.
Ponte attended Central Maine Medical Center College of Nursing in Lewiston, receiving her Associate of Science degree in nursing and the University of Southern Maine in Portland for her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She completed her Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner degree at Husson University in Bangor. She is a board-certified nurse practitioner specializing in urgent care medicine and a member of the Maine Nurse Practitioners Association.
She completed her clinical rotations at Waldo County General Hospital in Belfast, Maine Family Planning in Lewiston, and Waterville Pediatrics. With more than 20 years of direct patient care experience, Ponte is committed to practicing a holistic approach to health care.
