Coach: Will Emerson (Second year)
Class: A; Conference: KVAC
Last year’s record: 4-12
Returning athletes: Senior — Dalton Wing (P), Eddie Turgeon (OF), Jared Rubin (3B/P), Nate Osgood (Util); Juniors — Gordon Beckwith (P), Brock Belanger (C), Evan Cox (SS), Ben Chasse (1B); Sophmores — Hunter Landry (P), Cooper Millett (OF), Jack LeBlond (2B).
Key losses: Austin Wing, Brady Cusson, Corey Harvey.
Promising newcomers: Juniors — Ben Bossie (INF), Sean Lake (P), Keegan Voss (P), Isaac Atkins (OF); Freshman — Owen Cox (2B).
Season outlook: Emerson knows he has a young and athletic team, and enough of the players saw sufficient varsity time last year to know what roles they can fill in the field and the lineup. Unfortunately, the lack of field time in the preseason made it harder for him to determine who will fill the vacancies in the starting rotation. Regardless of who gets the ball, they will need the defense behind them to be more sound than last year. The hope is with better fundamentals, they can flip some of the close losses they had last season into the win column this spring.
