Coach: Charlie Pray (First year)
Class: B; Conference: WMC
Last year’s record: 2-14
Returning athletes: Senior — Ben Bernier (P/SS), Jake Wiseman (C), Noah Solomon (P/3B), Quinn Callahan (P/OF), Caleb Hodgkin (P/3B/1B); Junior — Gabe Crosby (Util); Sophomores — Adrien Melanson (SS/C/OF/P), Gawain Tibbetts (Util).
Key losses: None.
Promising newcomers: Freshman — Brady Downing (P/SS).
Season outlook: The Knights start a new chapter under Pray, who played at Poland when it was a perennial contender under current Edward Little coach Dave Jordan. Pray was a protege of Jordan’s and expects his teams to play the same hard-nosed, fundamentally-sound style. He has a good mix of experienced and young talent to start. They can match most teams in the conference when Bernier is on the mound, and Wiseman behind the plate gives them one of the best batteries in the league.
