Coach: Chuck Gurney (third year)
Class: C South; Conference: MVC
Returning athletes: Seniors — Kayleigh Oberg (C), Molly Glaser (OF), Matti Rice (2B), Amber Raymond (3B); Sophomores — Layne Audet (P), Hanna Caprara (OF), Kate Perkins (1B), Moriah Hajduk (SS), Olivia Simonson (3B).
Key losses: Tess Moody
Promising newcomers: Junior — Danielle McClure (OF); Sophomore — Maria Dostie (OF); Freshmen — Samantha Allen (OF), Bryanna Baxter (C/1B).
Season outlook: After making a jump last year, the Ramblers worked all offseason to make another one, with many of the players taking part in summer and winter softball. Oberg, Perkins and Hajduk make up a top of the lineup that can hit and has speed. Audet is the ace in the circle, and Gurney said he thinks he has a great defensive outfield in Glaser, Caprara and Allen. The Ramblers are hoping for another solid season, if not an even better one than last year.
