I did not like the man I saw on the election trail, but I do not want to see this country go through the stalemate it has for the last eight years. Now that the Republican Party has control of the presidency, the House and the Senate for the next four years, they should be able to put aside their animosity and create some good for the people of this country.
A candidate can promise anything to get elected, but when he becomes president he realizes he can’t do half of what he promised because it didn’t make sense in the first place.
I don’t expect we will see any walls along the Rio Grande, pogroms against immigrants or loss of minimal health care progress; and we may see some good done.
Many will be relieved and some will feel they have been conned. I intend to support those things that make sense and hope for the best.
