Benefit for Dean Barnett
RUMFORD — A benefit for Dean Barnett, diagnosed with liver cancer, will be held on Saturday, Sept. 30, at the Rumford Eagles.
A spaghetti dinner will be served from 5 to 7 p.m.; $7 for adults and $5 for age 12 and under.
There will be free admission for the event, which includes a Chinese auction, 50/50, live auction and live music.

Club welcoming new members at barbecue
DIXFIELD — The Poodunck Snowmobile Club will have its annual cookout at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 30, at the WRVS clubhouse on Canton Point Road.
All members, prospective members and their families are welcome. The cookout is free. A short business meeting will follow.
The snowmobilers will discuss the Blessing, the Think Snow Dance, and any other activities the members would like to see.
The club encourages membership in order to support funding trail access and trail maintenance.
