NORWAY — Members and friends of the Second Congregational Church, UCC, are planning the annual ticket auction on Saturday, Nov. 4.

Elaine Emery is coordinating the work crew, which is processing more than 300 items for the auction.

There will be a dollar table, vintage apple crates, gift baskets, a handmade quilt, a table made from skis, Christmas items and more.

Viewing for the auction will start at 1 p.m. and bidding will begin at 3 p.m. Ticket envelopes will be available in price ranges for every budget. Homemade food and beverages will also be available during the auction.

RUMFORD — A food and rummage sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 4, at the St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, the stone church on the Rotary.

WAYNE — First Saturday at the Williams House, 14 Old Winthrop Road, will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Nov. 4. There will be a book and DVD sale and a “Boutique” breakfast.

Prices have been reduced. New DVDs are now $2 a disc (and $1 for each additional disc in a set). Used DVDs are 80 cents a disc, seven discs for $5, 15 discs for $10 and 30 discs for $18. Breakfast items include cinnamon buns, quiche or scones.

All proceeds benefit the Wayne Library Association.

CHESTERVILLE — There will be a benefit bake sale at the Chesterville Town Office beginning at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 7, to coincide with the election. It will continue until the food is gone.

The event is sponsored by the North Chesterville Extension Homemakers.

LIVERMORE — An indoor yard sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 25, at the Livermore Community Center, 25 Church St.

Eight-foot tables are available to rent for $15 each. Proceeds from the table rentals will go to the Community Center’s Building Committee for maintenance and building upkeep.
