The featured artist for November and December at Wicked Illustrations is Karen Brooks; her work, “Mermaid” is seen above. Seventeen pieces of ornate paper sculpture grace the walls of Wicked. Brooks uses paper, a knife and glue to create layered work influenced by nature, story and spirit. A closing reception will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. during the December art walk, Friday, Dec. 15.
