On Dec. 18, the Maine Credit Unions’ Campaign for Ending Hunger, in partnership with the Good Shepherd Food Bank, celebrated the 12th anniversary of Maine’s first Food Mobile. To mark the occasion, the Maine Credit Unions’ Campaign for Ending Hunger made a contribution of $12,500. Jon Paradise, far left, vice president of public affairs and engagement for the Maine Credit Union League, presents a representative check to several representatives from Maine hunger organizations as well as Melissa Huston, far right, director of philanthropy at Good Shepherd Food Bank. Good Shepherd will distribute the funds to food pantries across Maine. The check amount will purchase 50,000 meals for hungry Mainers during the holidays.
