WESLEY CHAPEL, Fla. — Yolande Dolores Pettee, “Landy” 91, of Wesley Chapel, Fla., passed away Friday, Feb. 2.
Landy was born in Lewiston on Oct 10, 1926, and was the daughter of Leo and Irene Grenier. She attended Holy Family School and St. Peter and Paul School in Lewiston. She was a graduate of Lewiston High School, Class of 1946.
She later taught elementary school at St. Peter and Paul. After 30 years of raising her children she worked for GTE in Stamford, Conn., until she retired.
Yolande was a devoted Catholic and dedicated mother to her six children. She enjoyed her grandchildren and always extended herself to those in need. Yolande especially enjoyed bowling, cribbage, Scrabble and travel. She was a blessing and role model to her large family who will miss her dearly.
Yolande is survived by six children, seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and her best friend of 84 years, Muriel Nadeau. Her six children include Stephen Pettee, Suzanne Merchant, Denise Spencer, husband, Bill, Diane Hahn-Horton, husband, Jim, Daniel Pettee, Dolores Ianni, husband, Mark Fettke; her seven grandchildren: Matthew Merchant married to Lucianna, Elizabeth Merchant, Rachael Salley married to William, Hallie Hahn, Jacqueline Spencer, Robert Ianni Jr., Daniel Pettee Jr.; and two great-grandsons, Liam and Ronan Salley.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her three brothers and one sister: Roland, Jean Paul, Gilles and her sister, Cecile Grenier CSJ.
