MECHANIC FALLS — The Mechanic falls Historical Society will hold a New England boiled dinner of corned beef and cabbage from 4:30 to 6 p.m. St. Patrick’s Day, Saturday, March 17.

The Mechanic Falls Historical Society and the Anglican Church of the Transfiguration plan to replicate Cleveland’s meal at the Anglican Church, 64 Elm St. The cost is $8 a person, and proceeds will be shared by both organizations.


NEW GLOUCESTER — A buffet-style bean supper will take place from 5 to 6 p.m. Saturday, March 17, at Amvets Post No. 6, Route 100.

The cost is $8 for adults; $3, children 12 and younger.

RUMFORD — Post 24, American Legion, will celebrate the 99th birthday on Saturday, March 17, with a meal of corned beef and cabbage.

POLAND — The Friends of the Library are sponsoring a potluck supper at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, March 18, at A.B. Ricker Memorial Library downstairs in the Community Room.

Supper will be followed by a talk with Stacey and John Bsullak, owners of Gathering Winds Farm on Harris Hill. Gathering Winds was formerly owned by the Goss family and later by the Roberts family.
