Tunes from Munster at the Oasis

Rebecca Grube will perform fiddle tunes she collected in Ireland at the Oasis of Music this Wednesday, Wednesday, March 28, in a free concert from 12:30 to 1 p.m. The Oasis happens every Wednesday at Trinity Church,  247 Bates St., Lewiston. Grube is a Lewiston native who spent the most of the past five years teaching and studying in Ireland. While in Ireland, she completed a master’s in Irish traditional music performance as well as a master’s in ethnomusicology. Grube enjoys playing Irish and Scandinavian music as well as teaching private music lessons. She will perform a selection of tunes from the province of Munster in southwestern Ireland.
