NORWAY — A local man is seeking permission to open a restaurant at the former C&C Meats building at 495 Main St., Planning Board Chairman Dennis Gray said.
Deivid Miranda Da Silva told the board at last week’s meeting that he wants to offer “fusion cuisine,” which combines elements of different culinary traditions.
“He laid out his plan, which was for a small restaurant where C&C Meats used to be,” Gray said. “He said that he’s interested in fusion cooking with local products, and that it would be a small restaurant – maybe 20 or 30 seats.”
The building is across from the landmark Gingerbread House.
“He’s a very enthusiastic and young guy, and we gave him the list of things he needs to bring to us before the next Planning Board meeting,” Gray added.
The board will meet Thursday, May 10.
