AUBURN — Joao (John) Freitas Sr., 86, of Auburn passed away peacefully in Auburn, with his loving family by his side on Thursday, April 19.
He was born in New Bedford, Mass., on July 21, 1931, to the late Manuel and Clara (Cardoso Alves) Freitas. On Sept. 14, 1953, Joao married Pauline Clark.
Joao is survived by his wife; three daughters, Jackie and her husband, Peter, Cheryl and her husband, Jim, Karen and her husband, Tim; two sons, Joao Jr. and his wife, Carmen, Tom and his wife, Kelly; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was predeceased by his parents and a grandson, Cory Freitas.
