LEWISTON — A Holy Cross Knights of Columbus “Take Out Beans” event will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 5, at Holy Cross Church Hall, 1080 Lisbon St. A package special or “a la carte” will be available.

This is the last “Take Out Beans” event of the season. The KC event will resume in September.

SUMNER — A Mexican-themed community supper will be served at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, May 5, at the Congregational Church of East Sumner, 50 Main St.

WILTON — To celebrate Cinco de Mayo, Wilson Grange will serve dinner that will include sopa tarasca (a Mexican pinto bean soup) and salsa de pollo sobre arroz (mild salsa with shredded chicken over Spanish rice). A vegetarian option will be available.

It will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, May 5, at the Grange Hall on Main Street. Cost is $10 per person; reservations aren’t needed.

AUBURN — Post 31, American Legion, will hold its monthly breakfast on Sunday, May 6, serving from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. at 426 Washington St. North.

Menu will be scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, hash, biscuits and gravy, home fries, coffee, juice and toast. Cost will be $6; children, $4.

SABATTUS — The Harry J. Conway Post 135, American Legion, 40 Island Road, will hold the monthly community breakfast from 7:30 to 10 a.m. Sunday, May 6.

The cost is $8, adults, and $3, age 10 and under. The proceeds support community and veterans programs.

The last breakfast of the season, the Scholarship Breakfast, will take place on Sunday, June 3.

The Sabattus American Legion has been serving the community since December 1924.

LEWISTON — SeniorsPlus is offering a dining site designed to cater to the Somali community in the St. Mary’s Nutrition Center at 208 Bates St.

The public is invited to attend lunches presented there on Mondays (except holidays) at 11:30 a.m. Cost is $3.

NORWAY — Oxford Hills Area Association of Churches will serve the Norway Community Free Lunch at 11:30 a.m. Wednesdays at the Universalist Church, 479 Main St.
