Grace Fellowship Church VBS
OXFORD — Grace Fellowship Church invites will offer Vacation Bible School to area children from 9 a.m. to noon, Monday to Friday, July 23 to 27, at the church on Poplar Street.
The theme is “Shipwrecked: Rescued by Jesus.” Children ages 4 to 14 are invited, and parents are welcome to stay with their children. There will be Bible lessons, theater, snacks, games, crafts and music.
A closing program will be held at 6:30 p.m. Friday, July 27, at the church. Parents and friends can hear the children sing, see a video review of the week, share their experiences and get their certificates. Refreshments will follow the program.

College planning class offered
WILTON — The Maine Educational Opportunity Center will host a free workshop, “Essentials of College Planning” for adults 19 and older at the Wilton CareerCenter.
It will be held at 10 and 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22, at 865 U.S. Route 2 East.

Storytelling Guild to swap stories
FARMINGTON — A storytelling swap will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 19, downstairs at St. Joseph Parish Hall by the intersection of Middle and Quebec streets.

Tannery history program at society
PARIS — The Paris Cape Historical Society will hold its next monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 19, at 77 High St.
The featured speaker will be Jerry Major, who will give the history of the tannery. Major was employed at the tannery. This program will bring back memories to many families who had people who worked at the tannery. The public is welcome at this meeting, at which many memories may be shared. Refreshments will be served after the meeting.
The Paris Cape Historical Society welcomes new members to join. Anyone seeking information about the Town of Paris is welcome to visit every Thursday afternoon between 1 and 4 p.m.
