Danville Grange to hold meeting
AUBURN — Members of Danville Junction Grange will meet for dessert at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8. The business meeting will begin at 7.
A Veteran’s Day program will be presented by Lecturer Norma Meserve. Maine State Grange Master Sherry Harriman will be in attendance to present certificates of thanks from the National Grange to those members who are veterans.
Members are reminded to bring clipped coupons for the troops as well as donations to PAL.
All members and guests are welcome.
Colisee hosts free hockey for kids
LEWISTON — The Androscoggin Bank Colisee invites local youth, ages 4-9, to try playing hockey for free from 11:35 a.m. to 1:05 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10. Kids can experience ice hockey for the first time and learn the basic skills of the sport. Every player gets a free jersey.

Knitting Knights to convene
LEWISTON — Lewiston Pubic Library has announced it will host the Knitting Knights from 5 to 6:30 p.m. every other Wednesday in the Jeanne Couture Room.
All ages and skill levels are welcome, and no registration is required. Library staff will be available to teach new knitters, and welcome experienced knitters to share their knowledge and skills. Bottled water and hot tea will be provided, and some supplies will be available for beginners.
Drumming group making a beat
LEWISTON — The Hand Drumming Group plays from 1 to 3 p.m. on the second Sunday of the month, at Trinity Church, 247 Bates St.
All levels and styles of drummers can play, and they can bring their own instrument or try one of the club’s drums. The cost to play is by donation.
