BETHEL — Selectmen on Wednesday announced that Loretta Powers will be the town’s next town manager.
Powers’ official start date is Monday, Dec. 31. She will take over for interim Town Manager David Holt, who had held the position since August.
Powers was previously town administrator of Newry and had served as Bethel’s deputy town clerk for the past year.
Powers said one of her bigger goals is keeping Bethel residents satisfied.
“I don’t have any dreams of big changes, but keeping people happy and keeping the town happy and doing the best I can do for them,” Powers said.
