A group of area teenagers has begun an effort to create a space for teenagers at the Rumford Community Center. The United Students Teen Association is working under the guidance of Community Center Director Richard C. Wardnan to make the center more of a place for teenagers. “The goal of United Students is to make the RCC a place for teens, not just for younger children,” association member Stephanie Tutils said. She said the group’s goals include establishing a teen lounge in one of the side rooms at the community center. The lounge would have a pool table, a ping pong table, furniture, games or board games. The teenagers are hoping the community will donate these items.
