LEWISTON – Thomas Merrill Givens, aka Tom or Tommy, 55, passed away at Central Maine Medical Center on Jan. 16, 2019. He was born in Lewiston, on May 12, 1963, to Merrill and Elizabeth Givens, both deceased in 2010.
He graduated from Edward Little High School in 1981 and enlisted in the U.S. Air Force after graduation. Tom was an avid reader and especially enjoyed novels written by Stephen King and James Patterson. He liked playing poker, as well as pool and softball at the Midtown Athletic Club.
Tommy leaves behind his beloved wife, Kim; sons, Thomas Merrill Givens Jr. (TJ) and Kyle Givens, daughter, Jaimi Givens; grandchildren, April, Britney and Colton Givens; siblings, Gary, Charlie, Lisa (Rivers) and Cherie Givens; as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and daughter-in-law.
Per Tom’s wishes, in lieu of a funeral, a Celebration of Life will be held at the Midtown Athletic Club, to be announced later.
