Sabattus Seniors set meeting for March

SABATTUS —  The Sabattus Seniors hope to meet on Thursday, March 7, at the Maxwell Gill Hall. The January and February meetings were cancelled due to snow.

Call Pauline at 207-375-4037 or Helen at 207-375-6588 by Friday, March 1, to sign up for the meal of spaghetti with meat sauce, salad and desserts. The cost is $6.

Senator to hold New Gloucester office hours

AUGUSTA — Sen. Ned Claxton, D-Androscoggin, will hold public office hours at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 1, at the New Gloucester Village Store, 405 Intervale Road.

The event provide residents a chance to meet with their elected officials, ask questions and get help with legislative or state government matters.

Claxton will give updates on his work on various policy committees and give a preview of upcoming issues.

Worship service postponed due to storm

WEST PARIS — The worship service Sunday, Feb. 24, at the First Universalist Church of West Paris is being postponed due to the impending winter storm. The guest speaker, Stuart Kestenbaum, author and Maine’s poet laureate, has to travel quite a distance to get to the church so it has been postponed to a later date, to be announced.
