A Dempsey Challenge cyclist was injured Sunday morning near the corner of Penley Corner Road and Sopers Mill Road in Auburn. The Auburn Fire Department and paramedics brought the woman to the hospital. According to Nancy Audet, communications director for the Challenge, the woman was conscious when she was transported and no cars were involved. Audet said accidents and injuries are “very rare” during the Challenge. Jon Bolduc/Sun Journal
