Sandra S. Bonney
RUMFORD – Sandra S. Bonney, 79, formerly of Lewiston and Poland, died Sunday, May 2, 2021, at the Rumford Community Home, where she had been a resident since 2019. Born in Lewiston on May 21, 1941, she was the daughter of George and Clara Boardman Smith. Educated in Lewiston schools, she worked in the local shoe industry for many years. She enjoyed time spent with her family and friends, enjoyed making jewelry, and had a life-long love of cats.Survivors include two sons, Tony Bonney and wife Cat, and Kenneth Bonney and wife Deena; a brother, Paul Smith and wife Shirley, two sisters, Dale and husband Jack Leland, and Cheryl Smith; two grandchildren, Lucas and Angela Bonney; and three great-grandchildren, Owen, Annabelle, and Oakley.Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her longtime companion, Robert Pressey; and a sister, Jane Smith.Visitation will be held Thursday, May 13, 9 to 11 a.m., at the Albert and Burpee Funeral Home, with services at 11 a.m., interment, Gracelawn Memorial Park.Donations and condolences may be found at http://www.albert-burpee.com.
