The first of a series of weekly outings to be held by members of the Maine School of Commerce summer school division was held yesterday afternoon at Taylor Pond. Two large trucks convoyed the party to the pond, and all joined for a refreshing swim. Yesterday’s outing was in charge of the Misses Blanche Lawless, Agnes Craig, Eleanor Hathaway, Verna Rowe, Helen Bailey, and Helen Gowan, all of Auburn and all graduates of the normal course. They all occupy positions in New England schools and are home for the summer months.
