When Mark Cayer announced he was not seeking reelection as Lewiston’s mayor, I was disappointed. I knew Mark’s solid common sense, good judgment, and commitment to the community could guide Lewiston through these difficult times.
When Carl Sheline announced he was running for mayor, my disappointment and concerns were allayed. Carl has the essential qualities to lead Lewiston: a positive, forward-looking outlook; the ability to listen and bring people together in these divisive times; and a commitment to our community’s economic, cultural, and educational growth.
As an entrepreneur, Carl understands the needs of the business community; but he also understands that our economy will only grow and develop if our entire community prospers through a quality of life that serves current and attracts future residents.
I support Carl, and I know he would move Lewiston forward.
