Megan Parks is the kind of humble leader Lewiston needs.
While working with Megan I have observed her risk losing her own job to fight for her staff and clients’ best interests. She has sat with, cried with, and supported people in serious crisis with the kind of compassion and strength that is needed.
In one situation, she didn’t hesitate to get down on the dirty ground with a scared young man having seizures to hold his hand and keep him safe until EMTs arrived. She’s taken money out of her own pocket to feed and clothe people in need.
At the end of the day, even when we know she’s beaten down and heartbroken from the difficult work we do, she makes sure staff and clients have the support they need and comes back in with a positive outlook every day. People should vote for Megan for true leadership.
