Sandra T. DeCourcy

MEXICO – Sandra T. DeCourcy, 65, of Mexico passed away Saturday, Sept. 19, 2022, at the Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston after courageously battling serious illness.

She was born Feb. 18, 1957, in Westfield, Mass., the daughter of Edmund and Alice (Murray) Paul.

Sandra graduated from Mexico High School, class of ’75 and married her soulmate Peter DeCourcy on Aug. 5, 1978.

For 17 years she worked in various positions for the Rumford Hospital, she also took great pride working as a flower arranger for Davis Florist.

She loved spending time with friends and family, camping and being in nature, especially on the sandy banks of Ellis River at the family camp. She enjoyed tending her gardens, eating good food, and entertaining her many close friends and family members.

She is survived by her husband Peter DeCourcy; a daughter Sarah DeCourcy; a son Beau DeCourcy and wife Brianne; four siblings Gary Paul and wife Robin, Tim Paul, David Paul and wife Wendy, and Jane Bradford and husband Alan; nieces and nephews Tracy and husband Tiny, Amy and husband Keaton, Kelly and husband Rob, Tammy, Travis and wife Meagan, Lisa and husband Daniel, TJ and wife Amanda, Bethany and husband Rodney, Adria and husband Scott, Samantha, Robert and wife Amber, Jessica and husband Peter, and Amanda and husband John; several grand nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Sandra was predeceased by her parents Edmund and Alice Paul, a brother Steven Paul, a nephew Little Dave, a niece Monica, great nephew Dylan, and a brother-in-law Matt.

Memorial Visitation will be held 5-7 p.m., Thursday at S. G. Thibault Funeral Home, 250 Penobscot Street, Rumford.

A Celebration of Life will be held 2-7 p.m., Friday at Beau and Brianne’s home with a service at 5 p.m.
