I first met Rep. Kristen Cloutier when I served alongside her on the Lewiston City Council, and she was unanimously elected council president.
I remember how much respect every council member had for her work ethic, leadership, and commitment to serving Lewiston.
Kristen has taken all of those qualities with her to the State House, where she has been a strong and effective advocate for our community.
I am especially grateful for Kristen’s work as House Chair of the Commission to Develop a Paid Family and Medical Leave Benefits Program. As a new mom, I understand more than ever the importance of supporting parents who are working hard to balance the demands of their jobs with their caregiving responsibilities. As a working mom herself, Kristen gets it.
