GREENE – Norman A. Lavigne, 75, of Greene, passed away on Sept. 22, 2022 at the Maine Veteran’s Home in South Paris.

Norman was born on Dec. 24, 1947 to Narcisse and Mabel Lavigne. Norman grew up in Lewiston, and worked at Lepage Bakery while attending high school.

He later enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, serving from 1967 to 1969 with 13 months spent in Vietnam.

After his service, Norman went on to work at General Electric in Auburn for 35 years. While working at GE, he always had side projects going such as apartment rentals, McGee’s Market owner, firewood cutting, and remodeling homes. He also enjoyed camping, hunting, and traveling.

Norman was predeceased by his mom, dad; and wife, Nancy.

He is survived by his son, Shawn Lavigne; and his grandchildren Brandi and Justin Lavigne.

Services will be held for Norman on Oct. 7 at Funeral Alternatives, 25 Tampa St. Lewiston. A gathering will take place from 1 to 3 p.m., with a service to follow.
