I am proud that I supported Janet Mills’ election as the first female Maine governor. She has done very well without the wisecracking street talk of her predecessor.

I agree with Mills’ direction on the COVID pandemic that turned our lives upside down, as she rationally supported many physicians’ direction of vaccination and masking. And, most important, she hid nothing from us with her television presentations for all citizens.

Add that Gov. Mills has worked for the ordinary Maine citizen to restore Maine’s drugs for the elderly program, expanded MaineCare and health and dental care, increased transparency in drug pricing and helped lower health insurance premiums for small businesses and employees.

How about that $850 relief check we received? And her stand on abortion and equal rights?

I, a male Maine voter, support a woman of character and dignity, Janet Mills, as Maine’s governor this November.
