The Androscoggin Valley Soil and Water Conservation District plan to host the annual USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service Local Working Group meeting set for 9:30 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Oct. 26, at USDA Lewiston Office at 254 Goddard Road, Lewiston. This meeting is open to the public.
Landowners, woodland lot owners or farmers, who are interested in applying for NRCS funding next year to accomplish larger projects to help conserve their property and help the environment, are needed to participate in deciding how this funding is distributed throughout Androscoggin and Sagadahoc counties.
Topics include discussion of the 2023 USDA NRCS programs and the prioritizing of funding for the Environmental Quality Incentive Program for Androscoggin and Sagadahoc counties.
