100 Years Ago: 1922
The Lewiston W. C. T. U. will hold its annual meeting Thursday afternoon at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Hamel at the City farm. Members will take the two o’clock Lisbon car at the head of the street. Mr. Hamel will be at the car to meet them with a team.
50 Years Ago: 1972
The Women’s Literary Union held its fair today and the inclemency of the weather led the committee to announce that it will continue through Thursday. Sales tables will reopen tomorrow at ten o’clock.
25 Years Ago: 1997
The Elm Street Universalist Church will hold its annual fair on Wednesday and Thursday. The entertainment, which is to be given by the Pathfinders, will be on Wednesday night instead of Tuesday night as previously stated. The Pathfinders will help in decorating the vestry on Tuesday night.
