DEAR SUN SPOTS: For the person with Christmas cards to donate (Jan. 30 Sun Spots), I love making donations to the Lewiston-Auburn SHARECenter. The recycled goods get used by local teachers. Cards are useful for collages and other art projects.I know the SHARECenter is on the move and we would be interested in knowing where it all stands right now. I keep an old laundry basket around to accumulate stuff for them. It always feels so much better finding another life for items versus trashing them.
Thank you, dear Ms. Sun Spots, for all that you do. You are a valuable community asset. — No name, Lewiston

ANSWER: The ShareCenter workers and Bates College volunteers are preparing to open the new SHARECenter at 1830 Lisbon St. in Lewiston. It should be any day now. Stay tuned for dates and times by following along on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/auburnsharecenter.

There is also a Topsham SHARECenter at 376 Republic Ave. Members can book a time to come in through Sign up Genius.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: Regarding moving company recommendations, we at the Androscoggin Historical Society have just experienced a thoroughly professional and successful move of some of our furniture. Blanchette Moving and Storage Co. completed the move with efficiency and in less time than we had anticipated. The crew was skilled and conscientious, to the point of taking extra precautions not to track dirt and snow into our building. — David, Lewiston

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I had a very good experience with Red’s Moving & Storage some years ago. — Peg, no town

ANSWER: This is so good to hear. It’s important that we share these recommendations with other readers. Again, this is the contact information for Blanchette Moving & Storage (http://www.blanchettemoving.com/). Call them at 782-7429 or email info@blanchettemoving.com.

Thank you to the two readers who sent in concerns regarding Liberty Bell Moving and Storage. The company had been listed in the Rolodex for a couple years based on past recommendations from Sun Spotters. A lawsuit against the company was recently settled. To read about the case go online to the Portland Press Herald story at https://tinyurl.com/yckjpdsj.

I truly depend on your feedback and always will. This is what makes Sun Spots what it is. I really appreciate those readers who took the time to speak up.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: In reply to the Jan. 30 Sun Spots request for Chinese food from Cecilia who is new to the area, first I welcome you to our lovely twin cities. My favorite restaurant is Wei Li in Auburn. They do not use MSG and they also have a full page healthy menu which is great for diet-conscious customers.

They are a multi-generational family business. Lily, the owner, is kind and always makes you feel like a valued customer. Their food is delicious and generous. — No name, Lewiston

ANSWER: Wei Li is at 945 Center St. Call 344-0022 or order online at https://weilihealthy.com/.

I hope we can get some more recommendations for the Rolodex. You can never have too much good Chinese food in your life!
