
GREENE — Adam McAllister, missing since Feb. 27, was found dead Wednesday morning in the woods near his home, police said.
Police said McAllister’s his death is not suspicious, although it remains under investigation.
According to a press release Wednesday night, “On the morning of March 8th, the Maine Warden Service and law enforcement officers from the Southern Maine Law Dogs K9 group assisted Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office by conducting a search in the woods near the residence. A member of the Southern Maine Law Dogs group located Adam McAllister, who was deceased, in the woods approximately 1/3 of a mile from the residence.”
The Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office is leading the investigation.
McAllister was last seen Feb. 27 when he left his home saying he planned to go ice fishing.
