It’s beyond outrageous that Central Maine Power is now using the profits from its recent egregious and painful rate hike to blanket the airwaves, bombarding us with advertisements opposing a public takeover of Maine’s power grid — an unbelievable eight months before the referendum is even to be held.
And the company wonders why people might think that even the government could do a better job for Maine people than they are.
To me, not that we need further motivation, this absolutely justifies taking our power grid out of the company’s wasteful, incompetent hands. Nothing the government could do with our electricity could possibly be worse than CMP’s performance over the past three years.
The Our Power initiative deserves our support.
