I agree with Camden Jalbert (“Elected officials should be working to unite Lewiston-Auburn,” May 12).
I myself have gone and enjoyed many of these events like the one he mentioned. Having been born in Lewiston and living all of my 69 years in Auburn, the cities of Lewiston and Auburn should come together as one; that will make us a stronger city.
I could not make it to the Lobster Festival because of another commitment, so I did not hear that comment by the Auburn mayor, but if it’s true then I think an apology would be in order to the city of Lewiston and to the band members.
I hope to see Camden at the balloon festival in Lewiston.
