BATES 4, UNE 1: Anna Cote, the reigning NESCAC Player of the Week, scored her third goal of the season in the Bobcats’ (5-3) victory over the Nor’easters (3-8) in Biddeford.
Maria Femia, Sarah Bussell and Molly Griffin also scored for Bates. Bussell’s goal was set up by Cote’s siter, Paige.
Lily Clough scored for the University of New England.
MEN’S SOCCER
BATES 0, USM 0: The Bobcats (2-6-1) and Huskies (4-4-2) settled for a tie in their first meeting since Oct. 16, 2013.
The University of Southern Maine outshot Bates College 6-1.
Bobcats goalie Trevor Hammond made six saves, while Simon Gabaree stopped the one shot he faced for USM.
WOMEN’S SOCCER
UMF 2, THOMAS 0: A pair of former area standouts scored in the second half for the Beavers (4-6-1, 2-1 NAC) in their North Atlantic Conference victory over the Terriers (3-7, 1-2) in Farmington.
Mt. Blue graduate Hannah Wilbur scored the first goal in the 59th minute off an assist by Audrey Fletcher. Fletcher, who starred at Monmouth Academy, netted the second goal 18 minutes later. Fletcher’s goal was set up by Rita Benoit.
Paige Gonya, an Oak Hill grad, made five saves to earn her third shutout of the season
