CMCC ALL-AMERICAN: Central Maine Community College freshman Ella Lavigne has been honored as a Women’s Basketball Coaches Association All-American.
Lavigne is the third Mustangs player to earn WABC two-year college All-American honors, joining Lewiston High School graduate Emily Strachan, an All-American last year who currently plays at NCAA Division I Cal-State Fullerton, and Edward Little High School graduate Brooke Reynolds, who was an All-American in 2019.
Lavigne, who is from Fort Collins, Colorado, led the Mustangs in scoring (18.1 per game), rebounding (11.2) and steals (3.6) this season.
Earlier this month, Lavigne was named first-team Division II All-American by the United States Collegiate Athletic Association.

WILSON SETS RECORD: Lewiston High School graduate Jayden Wilson became Maine Maritime’s all-time career goals leader in the Mariners’ loss to Bates College on Wednesday.

Wilson, a sixth-year senior, is coming off a 71-goal campaign in 2023. He was the North Atlantic Conference Player of the Year and is a two-time All-NAC First Team selection. In three games this season, Wilson has four goals and two assists.
