FARMINGTON — A Rangeley woman charged with operating under the influence and operating after suspension has been granted her request to have her arraignment postponed, hoping both arraignments will be held at the same time.

Traci Lavoie, 54, the assistant town manager, was to have the charges heard Tuesday in Farmington District Court. She is saving money for an attorney, according to a note to the court on the case file.

State police Trooper Marc Rousseau stopped Lavoie on Jan. 26 for a traffic violation in Oquossoc village and issued her a summons on a misdemeanor charge of operating under the influence. According to the state complaint, Lavoie’s blood alcohol content registered 0.15% or nearly twice the legal limit of .08%.

On April 5, Franklin County Sheriff’s Deputy Tyler Gray issued Lavoie a summons in Rangeley on a misdemeanor charge of operating after license suspension  due to the OUI charge.

Lavoie was not available for comment and would not be back in the office until Monday, according to an automatic reply on email.
