HARRISON — Several people evacuated a home Thursday on Temple Hill Road after the house went up in flames shortly after 9 a.m.
Fire crews from a slew of nearby towns were called out to 54 Temple St. for a report that the building there was fully engulfed by flames.
Early reports were that residents were trapped on the second floor of the burning building, although a neighbor later reported that everyone was out safe. A cat was said to be unaccounted for, but other pets made it out safely.
As Harrison fire crews battled the flames, they were assisted by firefighters from several towns, including Oxford, Casco, Mechanic Falls, Norway, Raymond, West Paris and Windham.
