AUBURN — A pedestrian was struck Monday morning while crossing Veterans Memorial Bridge near the off-ramp for Center Street, according to an Auburn Police Facebook post.
Theresa Hutchinson, 40, of Lewiston was driving her Chrysler Town and Country minivan west toward Mount Auburn Avenue about 11:18 a.m. when she struck a 43-year-old transient man, according to the post.
Police noted the man was attempting to cross multiple lanes of traffic outside of any marked crosswalks.
He was treated at the scene for non-life-threatening injuries by Auburn Fire and Rescue and was transported to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, according to the post.
The crash remains under investigation, though there are no charges anticipated, the post said.
Traffic on the bridge resumed just after 1:15 p.m.
