Ellie Porter and Calvin Vincent led the Edward Little girls and boys to KVAC Alpine skiing championships Thursday at Saddleback Mountain in Rangeley.

Porter won the girls giant slalom title with a combined two-run time of 1 minute, 32.72 seconds. Porter also claimed the slalom championship on Saturday at Titcomb Mountain at Farmington. The Red Eddies tallied the highest team score in both events.

The Edward Little boys also had the highest score in the two events. In Thursday’s giant slalom, Vincent led the Red Eddies dominance as they claimed four of the top six spots. Vincent won the individual title with a time of 1:28.48. Carter Hill (1:28.74) took second, Peyton Langlois (1:29.96) third, Sawyer Shanaman (1:31.37) placed fourth and Nate Bigos-Lowe (1:34.44) came in sixth.

Shanaman won the slalom title on Saturday.

In the Mountain Valley Conference, Mountain Valley’s Lily Boulanger won the girls slalom and giant slalom titles, Spruce Mountain’s Jackson Archer claimed the boys slalom championship, and Maranacook’s Tristan Riley was the boys giant slalom winner.

The Alpine state championships are Feb. 23-24. Class A is at Saddleback, and Class B is at Black Mountain in Rumford.
